Since 2017, The Innovation in Politics Awards have recognised political innovators and initiatives that tackle today’s challenges with forward-thinking solutions.

Politicians from across the democratic party spectrum in all Council of Europe member states (Incl. Kosovo) can submit their innovative projects.

The Awards are made possible by our Citizens’ Jury of over 1,000 Europeans, who select the finalists and winners.

Finalists are invited to present their projects to an international audience at the Innovation in Politics Awards Conference, and winners are celebrated at the Awards Gala.

Eligibility criteria

You can register for the Citizen Jury if:

  • You are at least 16 years old when the jury process begins
  • You can read and understand English very well, as all project descriptions and the evaluation process are in English.
  • You have time to evaluate approximately 20 projects online, at your convenience, in April-May 2026.
  • You live in a member state of the Council of Europe (incl. Kosovo).
  • You value fairness and share European values, including respect for human rights, social balance, prosperity, and democracy.
