CONNECTING CITIZENS WITH CITY SERVICES
Developed jointly by the Municipality of Blagoevgrad and NEXGEN DEVELOPMENT GROUP Ltd., SignalIn provides residents with a simple way to report non-urgent local issues. Citizens can submit reports online without creating an account or installing an application, attach photographs, and follow progress through automatic email notifications. By bringing requests that previously arrived through multiple channels into a single workflow, the platform improves communication between residents and municipal services while strengthening trust and civic participation.
STREAMLINING REPORTS THROUGH DIGITAL INTEGRATION
A key feature of SignalIn is its direct integration with the municipality’s administrative information system. Every report is automatically registered, ensuring traceability and reducing manual errors while allowing staff to continue working within familiar systems. The platform also includes an administrative dashboard with statistical tools that help monitor trends and identify priority issues. Supported by digital technologies and AI-assisted language tools, SignalIn enables staff to communicate more clearly and focus on solving problems rather than managing paperwork.
IMPROVING DAILY LIFE THROUGH TRANSPARENT GOVERNANCE
Since its launch in autumn 2024, SignalIn has become a preferred alternative to traditional phone lines and service desks. More than 6,200 reports have been submitted, with over 5,700 already resolved. The platform gives residents greater visibility over the status of their requests while providing municipal leaders with valuable information for planning and investment decisions. Recognised with the BlueLink Foundation’s “Free Electron” Audience Award in 2025, SignalIn demonstrates how digital tools can make local government more responsive, transparent, and accessible.
